What does good function actually mean in physiotherapy?
Good function is one of the most important goals in physiotherapy, yet the concept is more difficult to define than it may first appear. It is easy to assume that good function means being strong, mobile and pain-free. For some people, these factors are part of the picture, but physiotherapeutic function is primarily about what a person is able to do in their own everyday life, how the activity is carried out, and which physical, psychological and social factors influence their ability to participate.
