Kinesiology Tape Provided No Clear Additional Benefit Beyond Conventional Physiotherapy for Knee Osteoarthritis
Kinesiology tape is commonly used for knee pain because it is easy to apply, relatively inexpensive, and may provide an immediate sensation of support. Many people notice that the knee feels different when elastic tape is placed over the skin, and some report less pain or greater confidence during activity. The important question, however, is not simply whether the tape feels comfortable, but whether it provides a measurable additional benefit when the person is already receiving physiotherapy and exercise.
