Corticobasal syndrome is a rare, progressive neurodegenerative disorder characterized by asymmetric motor impairment, rigidity, apraxia, and cognitive dysfunction. The condition leads to substantial functional decline and reduced quality of life, and there is currently no curative treatment. Rehabilitation therefore aims to preserve function, alleviate symptoms, and support daily participation. A study published in Physical Therapy in December 2025 examined how a structured multimodal exercise program affected sleep quality, motor function, cognition, fatigue, and systemic inflammation in an individual with corticobasal syndrome.
